The question I might get the most is this: Where is this? I get this question via email, facebook chat, dm on instagram and even in the comment section of my post on instagram.
I’m trying to explain here why I don’t share locations. Okay not sharing is a big word. I really do share locations with the people I trust 100%. But they are rare. And I can count them on 1 hand. My circle of trust is very small.
Sharing a location ensures more visitors. What the location does not benefit. It could be that the security is increased within a few weeks. Or the location will be closed. and that ultimately ruined it for everyone. Who is seriously working on this photography
Locations are being destroyed
This is the main reason why we don’t share a location. Not all visitors have the same intention. For example copper thieves, looters, vandals and graffiti artists. we are still visitors and we only take photos.
The places that we visit are usually in poor condition. Rotten floors, broken glass etc …
If I were to share a location with someone and that person would fall through the floor here … I don’t have to explain what I mean.
I do not know you!
Therefore, if I don’t know you, I don’t know what your intentions are. 99% of people are just curious and have no bad intentions. But I don’t know you and that makes it difficult for me to make a distinction. That’s why I don’t share anything and I only do that to protect the location.
And dont forget, Its called urban exploring, not urban destruction
